Ida Saki

Originally from Dallas, Texas but of Iranian descent, Ida Saki, graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and continued her studies at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

She has received national honors including modern dance winner by NFAA YoungArts where she was the only female dancer to be named the Presidential Scholar of the Arts in 2010 and perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Saki was a closing member of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet after dancing with them from 2012-2015, and named one of Dance Magazine’s Top 25 to Watch in 2013. She has also performed Gordafarid in Shahrokh Yadegari’s production The Scarlet Stone (based on Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh and Siavash Kasrai’s Mohrerh Sorkh) alongside Shahrokh Moshkin-Galam, Gordafarid, and Afshin Mofid. Saki is a co-founder of the event, Dancer’s Give Back Dallas, a workshop and performance that works to raise money for childhood and adolescent cancer. Saki is a Mind-Body Dancer Yoga® Teacher and is currently performing as Lady Macbeth in the immersive show, Sleep No More, in New York City.
