Interview with Erwin Khachikian

Erwin Khachikian’s love of music began at an early age. He was born in Tehran in 1973 to an Armenian family and his initial musical influence was his father, who was skilled at playing both the guitar and organ. Growing up in a musical household led Erwin to formally study music at age 11.

A love of textiles and pure, archetypal forms runs like a thread through Berlin-based designer Nobieh Talaei's biography. Born in 1978 in Tehran, Iran, she grew up immersed in traditional handcraft and tailoring skills through her grandmother, a dressmaker of nomadic heritage who made all the neighbors' wedding dresses, Talaei recalls.

Mahin Azima – One of Iran's distinguished contemporary artists. Born in Tehran, throughout her school years she was attracted to topics that were associated with arts, and in particular painting. She pursued her passion by entering to the School of Fine Arts at Tehran University in 1948.

Born in Iran in 1962, Yari Ostovany moved to the United States at the age of 16 and pursued his studies in Art first at the University of Nevada - Reno and then at the San Francisco Art institute where he received his MFA in 1995.  

Interview with Alborz Teymoorzadeh

Born in 1987 in a northern city of Iran, Alborz Teymoorzadeh pursued a B.A. in Architecture, graduating in 2011. With a diverse artistic foundation that spans painting, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, and photography, he embarked on a career in portrait, fashion, and theater photography. In 2011, he established "Rosso Photography" as his signature brand.
