Armin Amirian

Armin Amirian was born in 1995 in Isfahan, Iran. He is a self-taught artist who spent his childhood and teenage years experiencing different genres and mediums of art while being affected by Iran, the world, family, and culture, and he continued his education in Physics. He started working professionally in photography and cinema at the beginning of his teenage years. The role of looking got more prominent for him with the arrival of photography cameras into his life.
He has contributed to more than 100 festivals and exhibitions throughout the years and had his latest solo exhibition, “hICEstory” (2021), and a previous one named “A’ar” (2018), both at Etemad Gallery. He’s received multiple international awards such as the Award of Excellence from Fletcher Art Festival (USA 2020), Honorable Mention Award of Yeiser Art Center (USA 2020), Young Author Award of the 29th Caminos de Hierro contest (Spain 2018), The Jury Prize of Fomenar (Spain 2017), Warsaw’s Graphic Biennale (2012), two-time 1st place winner of Creative Vision section of “Iran’s Image of The Year Festival” (2015,2017).

He has been honored with titles and finalist nominees from art centers such as Sharjah Art Foundation (UAE 2020), Yeiser Art Center (USA 2020), Ooshot (France 2018), Farhang Foundation (USA 2017), Fletcher Art Festival (USA 2016, 2014), SIENA Awards (Italy 2015).
His works have been sold at exhibitions and auctions like the Sotheby’s and are available in collections and art foundations such as Ooshot Award (France), Spanish Railways Foundation, Fletcher H. Dyer Exhibit (USA).
