Ali Sabouki

Ali Sabouki was born in 1985 in Shiraz, Iran. He lives and works in Tehran as an artist. Ali attended the Art and Architecture University in Tehran to study Scenic Design.

He has since worked across various mediums in theatre and music, to name only a few. Since 2012, his focus has increasingly gravitated towards photography, portraits in particular.
His haunting portraiture explores the identity and connectedness of the human spirit in isolation, taking stylistic cues from Old Masters while exploring the human condition in modern life.
Ali has held different solo and group exhibitions in Iran, France, Japan, the USA, and United Kingdom. He won some photography awards in visual art competitions around the world as well.
